The Angelos comes to us as presence itself. In quiet moments perhaps felt as a stirring in the periphery of consciousness, or warmth that settles upon the shoulder like an invisible mantle.

Ancient ones speak of the messengers who traverse the liminal space between earth and heaven, essence of starlight and divine intention. The Greeks knew them as daimons - intermediary spirits who carried the prayers of mortals to the ears of the gods. Hebrew tradition describes them as mal’ākh, which means ‘one who is sent’.

This guardian moves through the tangle of our days as both sentinel and guide, his form flickering... sometimes corporeal suggestion, and here again now, just pure luminescence. In the Orphic hymns, such beings were called ‘golden-winged’ for the aureate quality of their intervention. Catching the light of possibility and reflecting it back as pure protection.

Byzantine chroniclers wrote of angels who appeared to soldiers before battle. Quiet confidence settling into trembling hands, courage crystallizing the most fearful of hearts.

Your Angelos dwells in these same sacred interstices. Guardian of thresholds, keeper of the fire that is eternally alive within you. His presence comforts and protects, his guidance is a ruthless compassion.
