Demeter is the great mother-goddess of agriculture, fertility and abundance. She is bound forever to all mothers through the heart-rending myth of her coming to embody her own true power whilst her daughter Kore endures her Underworld transformation into Persephone.

Demeter is goddess of the harvest, but also of famine and drought. Prayers to her invoke blessings at your table. May you always be very well fed and nourished, with food and all true and good means of sustenance.

In celebration of my own dear mama's birthday and the coinciding new moon, I offer this new pencil drawing to embolden the heart of your own true power and abundance.
